ECP and the Nine Gears

CONEXUS Sovereign is the project name for an experimental system that combines the Nine-Gear calibration sequence, session continuity, and provenance records. It is an engineering and research architecture, not a claim of machine consciousness or autonomous sovereignty.

The Nine-Gear sequence

The stages are designed to prevent premature collapse onto a single interpretation while keeping the task bounded and auditable.

Calibration layer

Prompt and workflow structure applied before or during a model task. It does not alter model weights by itself.

Continuity layer

Session state, stored artifacts, and retrieval can connect work across missions when those components are enabled.

Provenance layer

Hashes and logs can make records tamper-evident. They prove record integrity, not the factual truth of the model output.

The strongest evidence is the controlled experiment.

The four-arm study tests whether the full architecture changes a measured search behavior relative to baseline, neutral, and token-only controls.
